A CRASH has sparked "severe delays" on the M56 near Chester.
The incident has happened eastbound this afternoon (Sunday) between J14 A5117 (Chester Services / Helsby) and J12 A557 (Runcorn).
Congestion is stretching back to before the M53 Interchange and traffic reports state there are "severe delays".
Congestion is also heavy westbound due to all traffic being temporarily halted.
