A MAN is to stand trial accused of throwing a flare at Brackley Town FC fans during a Chester FC home game.
Daniel Jones, 33, of no fixed abode, appeared at Chester Magistrates Court on Tuesday, June 13.
He had been charged with three offences in connection with the football match at the Deva Stadium on May 7, the play-off semi-final which Chester FC lost 1-0.
He denied a charge of throwing a missile at a spectators area.
Jones entered guilty pleas to going on to the playing area with reasonable excuse and breaching an eight-year football banning order which was imposed in April 2018, which had a requirement prohibiting the defendant from entering the Deva Stadium.
A trial will take place at Chester Magistrates Court on November 3. Jones was bailed to appear on that date.
