A NEW pub is set to open in Chester city centre this week, with an extensive range of drinks and a roof terrace perfect for the warmer weather.

The Leopard, a first venue in the city for Amber Taverns, will officially open its doors on Foregate Street this Thursday, June 15 at 11am. The pub has taken the place of Bon Marché and will be next to The Queen's Head and opposite The Square Bottle. The only other Amber Taverns pub listed locally on the pub chain's website is the William Jessop in Ellesmere Port.

On the pub's Facebook page, The Leopard said: "Get ready, Chester! The wait is almost over! We're thrilled to announce the grand opening of The Leopard, our newest pub, on Thursday, June 15th!

"Stay tuned for more updates and exclusive sneak peeks as we count down to our opening day. You won't want to miss out on all the excitement!

A cardboard sign has also been spotted in the window of the pub by eagle-eyed passers-by, which confirms the opening date.

The Leopard promises a large range of drinks including cask ales, cocktails and a range of beers such as Heineken's newly introduced Spanish lager Cruzcampo. The pub will also have several screens showing Sky Sports, BT Sport (soon to be TNT Sport) and DAZN Boxing.

It's roof terrace will feature original artwork and allow customers to take advantage of the rising temperatures as we move into summer.

The new pub has created four full time jobs and a further ten part-time. The new venue is still recruiting for roles including part-time cleaners and part-time weekend bartenders.
