IN honour of Father's Day next Sunday, Morrisons has launched its newest addition to its in-store café at its Liverpool Road store: the big daddy burger.

Named appropriately, the burger is mammoth and has earned the right to be called 'the big daddy.'

As well as featuring 100 per cent British beef, the burger is also served with a side of chips and coleslaw.

Available at all Morrisons cafes between Monday, June 12 and Sunday, June 18, the limited-time burger can be purchased for just £5 when a Morrisons More card is shown.

The tasty treat is sure to make dads across the UK feel full of love (and food) on their big day and those looking for a vegetarian option fear not as Morrisons has created The Big Daddy Veggie Burger too.

This veggie burger consists of three meat-free patties, double cheese, a hashbrown, burger sauce, tomatoes, lettuce and onion rings for £7.99 or £5 when a More card is shown.

Even better is that when a big daddy burger is purchased, it means that anyone who buys it is entitled to Morrisons' 'Kids Eat Free' deal, which can be accessed with any purchase of over £4.49.

Chris Strong, Morrisons cafe buying manager, says: “We’re working hard to serve our customers great-value, tasty meals whether it’s a midweek lunch or a special occasion such as Father’s Day.

"We’re confident that the big daddy burger and the big daddy veggie burger will be a firm favourite with customers so we’re adding them to the menu for the whole week and More Card customers can grab it for just £5 while kids can eat for free when an adult meal is purchased.”

The big daddy burger can be purchased from in-store Morrisons cafes, and costs £7.99 - or £5 with a Morrisons More card; it can be purchased between June 12-18.
