A MAN has been hit with a court bill of more than £1,300 after assaulting an individual in Cheshire West.
Roger Smith, of Kensington Way in Davenham, changed his plea to guilty at Chester Magistrates’ Court on May 17.
The court heard the 43-year-old had assaulted a man on September 7, 2022, by beating him.
Smith was fined £747 for the offence, after magistrates took his guilty plea into account.
This was added to £310 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £299 surcharge, bringing the total amount owed to the court to £1,356.
