THE circus is coming to town as part of a busy few weeks for an Ellesmere Port school.

The Woodlands PTA team at Woodlands Primary School, led by Hannah Mather, will be hosting the National Festival Circus on the first Saturday of the half term on May 27.

There will be three family-friendly shows throughout the afternoon, with the event taking place on the school's junior field.

It comes amid a jam-packed few weeks at the school.

Coming up on May 16, the Pastoral Team will be holding a half-termly Neurodiverse Parent Support meeting at 6pm. The school has been keen to support parents and carers who have children with a range of non-typical behaviour traits and provides a safe space for parents and carers to come and simply support one another.

The team often invites guest speakers to attend and discuss relevant strategies to facilitate successful outcomes for families and children. For more information, contact the school by emailing admin@woodlands.cheshire.sch.uk

The following day, Wednesday, May 17, the headteacher will be speaking at the Schools and Academies Show in London.

Keen to help educators up and down the country, Woodlands’ headteacher Dr Vic Carr and her leadership team, with the support of the Governors, are often found working alongside colleagues, in person and virtually, to ensure that children and young people everywhere achieve their full potential.

Prior to the school's open day on the morning of June 10, the site maintenance team at school is busy working hard on a complete revamp and aesthetic overhaul of the Early Years Foundation Stage site. The headteacher will be conducting tours (each one will take 30 minutes and they will commence at 10am, 10.30am, 11am, and 11.30am). To book, call the school or email admin@woodlands.cheshire.sch.uk.

Finally, a Summer Fair is also being planned at the school for Friday, June 30.
