TO celebrate the upcoming Coronation of King Charles III on Saturday a new venue  has added a duo of desserts to its menu ahead of the bank holiday weekend.

In the run up to the King’s Coronation, The Manor at Greasby, operated by Nelson Hotels and Inns, which has a number of venues in and around Chester, has added two new desserts to its menu, which will be available for a limited time only across the bank holiday weekend.

Inspired by British classics, the restaurant’s dedicated head pastry chef, Zusana Laczova, has created the unique puddings, which will be available from Friday, May 5 to Monday, May 8.

As part of their Coronation celebrations, on the menu is a Rhubarb & ginger trifle with parkin cake, rhubarb jelly and ginger custard, as well as a Strawberries & cream shortbread crown with strawberry gel and cream panna cotta.

Neil Armstrong, group food & beverage operations director at Nelson Hotels & Inns, said: “The King’s Coronation is set to be a momentous occasion for the whole country and we can’t wait to celebrate with our guests throughout all of our venues with our classic afternoon teas and bespoke pastries fit for a King!”
