ALDI has shared a round-up of products available in its stores that are locally sourced from Cheshire-based suppliers.

From baked goods and seafood, to wines and poultry, there are a number of items in the aisles at Aldi that are from businesses far closer to home than shoppers may realise.

Backing British has always been a top priority for Aldi, Britain’s fourth-largest supermarket, which has pledged to spend an additional £3.5 billion a year with British businesses by the end of 2025.

 

  1. E Park & Sons Potatoes, Macclesfield

 

Macclesfield’s very own E Park & Sons has been supplying Aldi with its responsibly grown and incredibly versatile potatoes for over 10 years – perfect for everything from mash to roast potatoes.

With sites in both Macclesfield and Doncaster, E Park & Sons Potatoes works with growers to manage its quality and traceability all the way from seed to plate, recycles all its water and has one of the largest roof top solar panel installations in the UK.

 

  1. Sykes Seafood, Knutsford

 

If seafood is on the menu, shoppers can pick up some award-winning shrimp as part of Aldi’s Specially Selected range, supplied by Knutsford-based, Sykes Seafood.

With over 160 years of experience, the business prides itself on supplying the highest-quality, sustainably sourced, frozen seafood all-year round.

The Roberts family know a thing or two about baking, ever since Robert Roberts baked his father’s first loaf 130 years ago.  Based in Northwich, Roberts has a broad bakery range, including their much-loved soft white bread, which is a family favourite across the region.

Roberts’ new branding now features their iconic bakery cooling towers and “raised in Cheshire” strapline, highlighting their proud association with the region.

Family-owned Forrester Sales has been manufacturing and supplying poultry products to Aldi, since 2012.

Shoppers in Cheshire also have one of the leading UK-based distributors of quality wines on their doorstep with a selection of wines supplied to Aldi stores by Boutinot Wines in Cheadle.
