THE trial of Lucy Letby, who denies the murders of seven babies and the attempted murders of 10 others between June 2015 and June 2016, has been adjourned.

Manchester Crown Court was due to hear further evidence today (Wednesday, April 19), featuring Letby's interviews with police following her arrests, in the 24rd week of the case before a jury.

A juror illness has meant the case has been adjourned until Thursday at the earliest.

The trial is not due to sit on Friday, April 21, Monday, April 24 or Wednesday, April 26.

The trial judge, Mr Justice James Goss, has previously told the judge the jury will not be sitting on the May bank holidays.
