A man was arrested and recalled to prison after a two-hour stand-off on the rooftop of a house in Wallasey today (Thursday, April 13).
Police and fire and rescue services were called just after 10am to reports of the man on top of a terraced property on The Grove.
According to reports on social media, fire engines and police vehicles, including unmarked police cars, were in attendance.
A police spokesman said: "We were called at just after 10am today following reports of a male on the roof of a property in The Grove in Wallasey.
"The male has now come down and has been arrested and recalled to prison."
A Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service spokesman confirmed that fire crews were alerted at 10.07am. Three fire engines and the search and rescue team were on scene at 10.15am.
The statement continued: "Our crews were assisting Merseyside Police and left the scene at 12.08pm."
