Chester hair salon turns 10 in style with rodeo-themed party

VAIN first opened its doors 10 years ago and since opening have gone from strength to strength. To celebrate the milestone, a celebration party was held at Chester Cathedral.

Party goers were encouraged to dress up for the occasion, where they were wowed by a Shania Twain and Kenny Rogers Tribute, as well as a performance from the UK's number one Dolly Parton tribute act.

Owners Jolene Wells and Siobhan Taylor said: “We wanted to show our team and clients how much they were appreciated, and so we decided to throw them a party they’d never forget, and who wouldn’t want to see Dolly?!

“It was really lovely to see how many people turned up and to see the support from other local independent businesses."

The salon on Watergate Street is no stranger to celebrity; the team regularly works backstage at some of the UK's biggest festivals with David Guetta, Rita Ora, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Zara Larsson. The salon itself also has actors such as Emmett Scanlan, Sian Gibson, Claire E Cooper and Jodie Comer regularly visiting the talented team of hairstylists.

Money on the night was also raised and split between MNDA Cheshire branch, who support people locally with Motor Neurone Disease, and Paw Prints to Freedom, a local animal rescue shelter.
