A WOMAN who lives in Little Neston has been giving away her mindfulness artwork prints for free across the UK to bring peace and happiness to people.

Emma Hollingworth, 35, originally from Birmingham, was diagnosed with ME (Myalgic encephalomyelitis) in December 2021, which is a condition that causes extreme tiredness and a range of other symptoms.

With a love for artwork, and how it can make people feel, Emma decided to design five prints in a ‘Wonderland Collection’ that people could purchase for free, only paying for shipping.

The five prints are called Dreams, Wanderland, Escape, Night Sky and Elements and Emma’s prints have reached locations as far as Isle of Wight, Essex and Shetlands Islands.

Emma said: “I know from being an artist how positive artwork can be, sparking imagination, and can take you to a place which is peaceful and happy.

“The collection is about wondering and going to a happy place. I want it to reach as many people as possible to bring them hope.

“I’ve made them all really different so everyone can resonate with at least one.”

The prints, which are usually priced around £18, have been shipped all over the UK, as Emma explained she has sold over 1200 altogether, totaling £25,000 so far.

'It's changed my life being disabled'

Emma added: “Art helps in so many ways, and it’s just amazing to think my artwork is in all of these homes.

“It just cheers me up knowing people enjoy my artwork as I’ve been really poorly since being diagnosed with ME.

“It’s changed my life being disabled, so being able to do something from home, that doesn’t take too much energy is really lovely.”

'This will bring me so much joy'

People have flooded Emma with positive responses, which is why she has continued to give the prints away rather than focus on profit.

One wrote: “I just ordered Escape because I looked at it and it made me feel calm. I’ve had a tough year, realising that I put my job before everything else in life and suffering anxiety as a result.

“I hope this will make me feel better next year.”

Another said: “Ordered my print on Christmas Day when I was struggling to get through the day, it hangs on the wall opposite where I sit at night - as a reminder that I’m strong enough.”

One added: “I’ve just ordered the whale one. Been feeling really down lately with how awful times can be.

“Also living with cancer is difficult and I’ve been struggling massively, this will bring me so much joy.”

Emma is also sending out prints to charities for raffles to an animal centre, complex needs care home and miscarriage service in various locations across the UK.
