A HOUSEBUILDER has announced it will invest nearly £1.5 million in a new development in Cheshire.
The scheme, to be created by David Wilson Homes, will include 208 new properties.
The firm says the combined total investment is £1,432,449, with just under £700,000 dedicated to primary, secondary and special needs education.
As well as education, Sydney Place, Crewe, will contribute to a series of improvements in a variety of sectors, including indoor and outdoor sports, biodiversity and healthcare as a direct result of the developer’s S106 agreement with Cheshire East Council.
A total of £1,000 per home will be allocated to the improvement of outdoor playing facilities and pitches in the area.
Rob Holbrook, managing director at David Wilson Homes North West, said: “Investing in local communities is an extremely important part of building a new housing development.
"We pride ourselves on our commitment to the local community and strive to support it wherever we can.
“Sydney Place is part of a new and exciting development for Crewe and we look forward to welcoming our first residents to the growing community.”
It has a selection of three and four bedroom homes for a range of homebuyers, with prices starting from £255,000.
David Wilson Homes is now selling its Sydney Place properties from the sales centre at Scholar’s Place in nearby Alsager.
