CHESTER Art Centre has moved to new premises after officially merging with Place for the Arts in the city centre.

The centre is now based at 22 Bridge Street, Chester, having moved from 132 Northgate Street.

The new gallery now has three floors full of art.

Marcia Crocombe is the first artist to do a solo exhibition.

The grand opening will take place on November 24 fro 6-9 pm.

Marcia Crocombe is a contemporary artist, who will bring her solo show titled ‘Retrospective’.

Welsh born Marcia studied art at The University College of Ripon and York St John - graduating in 1993 with BA (Hons) degree in fine art.

Soon after graduating she set up her own business as a mural artist travelling the British isles and parts of Europe creating bespoke murals commercially for more than 20 years.

Seven years ago she set up her own studio business - Quirky D Art - which is now based at her home in North Wales.

Her abstract landscapes are evocative and dramatic and the very nature of them aim to compel the viewer and draw them in to her psyche.

She now sells her work nationally and internationally having recently started to sell her work in America.

The show will run for a month, from November 24 to December 24.
