BRITISH chef, author and TV food expert Nisha Katona MBE will visit Neston in December for a book talk and signing.

The 51-year-old from Ormskirk is best known for being CEO, executive chef and development chef of Mowgli Street Food restaurants.

She is the founder of the Mowgli Trust charity which donates over £500k each year to charities such as Claire's House, The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity and Great Ormand Street Hospital.

Nisha received an MBE in the 2019 New Year Honours List for services in the Food Industry.

She regularly appears as a guest chef on shows such as ITV’s This Morning, Sunday Brunch and Lorraine.

Nisha is also the author of four cookbooks, The Spice Tree, The Mowgli Cook Book, Pimp My Rice and The 30-Minute Mowgli.

Her new upcoming cookbook, 'Meat-Free Mowgli', shows Nisha's mission to preserve the authentic Indian cooking of her mother and grandmothers.

Translating it for a Western audience into recipes that are quick and easy to prepare, healthy and super tasty - perfect for today’s busy lives.

The book is organised by ingredients to be as useful as possible, and all the ingredients are easy to source.

There is one vegetarian chapter for eggs and dairy products; otherwise, the book is largely vegan.

The book talk and signing will take place at the Neston Club on Tuesday, December 6 at 7pm.
