AN exclusive development on one of the most prestigious streets in the area is set to be completed in less than a year.

Oak Ridge, located on Burwardsley Road in Tattenhall, is a bespoke collection of three contemporary family homes with sustainable living at the heart of their design.

One of the three plots has already been reserved.

Each highly insulated property will benefit from the efficiency of an air source heat pump system and integrated modern solar panels providing renewable energy.

There is also underfloor heating throughout and a fast charging point for electric vehicles, fed by the property’s 3-Phase electricity supply.

The work on the new homes, for which planning permission was granted in 2018 involves a highly experienced team, with the architect, building engineer and builder all based in the North West.

A spokesman for the development said: "Set across several floors, all of the homes are designed for modern living and will feature large open plan living areas, double bedrooms with en-suites and home office options, coupled with a high-quality specification and a distinctive contemporary design.

"The site comprises two 5 bedroom homes and one 6 bedroom property, all of which are detached, and a further property for returning local residents and Oak Ridge investors Richard & Michelle Payne-Gill."

Mr Payne-Gill said: “Having lived in Tattenhall, I can safely say that these homes, once completed, will be completely unique to the village.

"There is a highly experienced team behind the development which inspires confidence in the final product and the positive environmental impact we are striving for with these properties.

"It’s a great project to be involved with and we hope that, upon completion, the new occupiers enjoy living in their own unique property and are making significant financial savings through the scheme’s A-rated energy efficient construction and design.”

Tom Roberts MD of Tom Roberts Construction Ltd said: “We were delighted to be awarded the contract to work on the exciting Oak Ridge development.

"Tattenhall is an extremely desirable location and the designs for these luxurious homes are truly stunning. We’re thrilled to be bringing them to life - creating high quality, energy efficient, future-proof homes that will really stand the test of time.”

Just a few hundred yards from Oak Ridge, the Payne-Gills have also bought the Bear & Ragged Staff, a former village inn that is believed to date back to the 1880s and was at risk of being converted into flats.

It is set to reopen to the community as a pub  restaurant and rooms following Richard and Michelle’s significant investment which is seeing a large additional dining area extension with a terrace roof, leading to eight en suite bedrooms.

There’s also a new walled beer garden with a south-facing aspect and already home to Fired Up At The Bear, a wood fired pizza business.

The two remaining properties at Oak Ridge, which are available via Savills, are seeking offers over £975,000 and £1,395,000.
