IT'S been a long, hot summer - literally - but as we enter September, it's all about new beginnings.
Today marks the first day of school for most youngsters across the region, and teachers are ready to welcome them back to the classroom.
For some pupils it will be their first day at primary or high school, an exciting but daunting experience.
To celebrate what has become affectionately known as 'national photograph your child by the front door day', we would love to see the first day photos of your children or grandchildren.
From new haircuts to shiny shoes, let's see those (hopefully) smiling faces going back to school.
If your little ones or big kids are starting or returning to a classroom in Chester or Ellesmere Port, then email news@chesterstandard.co.uk.
Or maybe you're a new teacher or one with more experience under your belt, we would love to see your happy faces too.
