THE Executive Chef from the Chester Grosvenor's Arkle restaurant will showcasing his expertise at this year's Nantwich Food Festival, with an opportunity for attendees to win an evening at the fine dining restaurant.

Elliot Hill will be appearing at the festival on Sunday, September 4 to host a demonstration, which is set to take place at Reaseheath College Food Theatre in Love Lane at 1pm.

Elliot was named as a National Chef of the Year finalist in 2021 and was formerly Head Chef at Panoramic 34 in Liverpool and Head Chef at Oddfellows Chester prior to that. He has now taken the reins from Simon Radley at The Chester Grosvenor and has recently reopened the hotel's refined dining restaurant, Arkle -which has served more than 1,500 guests within its first three months of operation.

As a born and bred Cestrian, Elliot is delighted to be involved in such an exciting local event that he himself attended many times when growing up in the area. He now has the opportunity to exhibit his skills on stage and provide functional advice on how people can produce restaurant-standard food within their own homes.

The festival, which runs for three days from September 2 to September 4, will be located across three sites in the picturesque Cheshire town and bring together top-quality food and drink producers from across Cheshire, Great Britain and beyond.

Elliot Hill said: "It’s fantastic to be involved in this year's Nantwich food festival, a real highlight of the Cheshire culinary calendar. I can’t wait to showcase some of the dishes from the team here at the Chester Grosvenor, a real chance to showcase our food to the amazing crowd that the festival always draws in."

At Arkle, Elliot and his talented team are responsible for producing some of Chester’s most reputable cuisine and their adventurous style is forging a strong reputation for the hotel's food and beverage offering.

He adds: "At the Chester Grosvenor we are very proud of the food, service and experience we provide. We are always pushing ourselves to the highest possible standards. Following from the pandemic the hospitality industry are still facing extremely tough challenges so to showcase how we’ve moved forward and our passion for the industry is exciting.

"I’m always proud to fly the flag for the Chester Grosvenor and to do so at this festival is incredible, and cannot wait to show the passion we put into everything we do."

To enter the competition visitors will need to scan a QR code on the festival leaflets and posters which will take them through to a link where they can sign up and enter the competition. The prize includes a tasting menu for two with accompanying wines hand-picked by the in-house sommelier.
