TWO men have been charged in connection with a series of catalytic converter thefts in Chester.
The men who were arrested on Thursday, August 11), have since been charged and appeared in Chester Magistrates Court on Saturday, August 13.
Brian Ward and Charlie Ward were both initially arrested in connection with the theft of a catalytic converter from a car which was parked at the Greyhound Retail Park in Chester.
Brian Ward, aged 28, of Oxford Road, Ryton-on-Dunsmore, and Charlie Ward, aged 30, of Cricketfield Road, West Drayton, have both since been charged with three counts on theft from a motor vehicle and one count of going equipped for theft.
The pair are charged with stealing three catalytic converters from the vehicles of three victims, and are accused of having a car trolley jack and electric reciprocating saw.
The duo were arrested in Ellesmere Port.
