AUGUST will see the first ever Fronteer Independent Art Fair in Chester city centre, with artist from all over the UK set to feature.
Fronteer Independent Art Fair is the brainchild of husband and wife, Michael and Sharon Borkowsky, two University of Chester Fine Art graduates. The free event will take place over four days (August 26-29) at the Contemporary Art Space Chester Gallery (CASC Gallery) in the Forum Shopping Centre.
The project was inspired by art fairs that Michael and Sharon have taken part in as exhibitors across Europe. The pair, who now run a gallery in Sheffield hope to bring the buzz and excitement of those continental fair to the UK, with their former university city the perfect setting.
The Fronteer Independent Art Fair has been three years in the making, having been postponed due to Covid-19 when originally due to open in 2020.
Visitors can expect 30 individual exhibitions, alongside talks and live art performances.
