FIREFIGHTERS were called to a large patch of grassland near Ellesmere Port today, where a fire is believed to have been started deliberately.
A fire engine from Ellesmere Port arrived at Dale Hey in Hooton at 12.51pm. An area of around 80 square metres was found to be on fire.
A water backpack was used to dampen the area down.
Cheshire Police have also been informed.
