A CHESTER village high street has been closed due to an emergency incident.
A casualty is trapped between two vehicles on High Street in Tarporley.
The road has been closed in both directions while Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service tackles the incident.
The fire crew was alerted to the scene at 12.30pm.
Fire engines from Winsford and Chester, plus the rope rescue unit from Winsford, have been deployed to the area.
Motorists and residents are advised to avoid the area while the incident is being dealt with.
Shortly after 1.30pm, firefighters had released the casualty, who was taken to hospital by the ambulance service.
