CHESTER BID’s annual Customer Service Awards have returned, with the public asked to give their opinion on which of Chester’s businesses offer the best customer service on the high street.

The Customer Service Awards, now in their seventh year, have become the city’s annual way to recognise the hard-working individuals and businesses who provide an excellent service to Chester visitors and help to make the city such an attractive destination.

Chester BID is asking the public to vote for those shops, restaurants, pubs, hotels and professional service firms that they deem to offer the best customer service in the city.

Voting starts today (Monday, August 1), with the top three businesses from each category put forward to an independent judging panel that will mystery shop each business. The businesses that score highest will be announced at a ceremony in Chester Cathedral on Tuesday, October 18.

There will be 12 different categories to vote across a range of categories including Best Coffee Shop, Health and Beauty Provider and Best Independent Retailer.

Voting will close on August 28 with votes easily cast through Chester BID’s social channels or through https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/BPR7G8C

Carl Critchlow, CEO of Chester BID, said: "Our businesses have forged strongly ahead yet again this year, delighting us with their innovation, creativity and heart. They are the absolute key to making Chester the successful retail, visitor and tourism destination that people love, and they continue to make us proud with the individuality and flair that characterises our city centre.

"These awards are all about celebrating those businesses (and the people within them) who keep on trying, revolutionising their offer and offering excellent customer service.

"We look forward to celebrating with all the winners in October!"
