THOUSANDS of racegoers enjoyed plenty of fun in the sun on Sunday at Chester Racecourse.
The annual Family Funday was held in glorious weather, after early showers cleared, with a host of activities to keep everyone entertained throughout the afternoon.
Amongst the activities, the racecourse grounds saw a pop-up of Rio Ferdinand’s Football Escapes – a usual feature at luxury IKOS resorts like the renowned Quinta de Lago in the Algarve.
Ministry of Sound regular DJ Beatnik and My Moozik brought adult friendly beats, and kid-friendly lyrics performed live by chart topper, Newton Faulkner.
Families also got to enjoy a beach, inflatables, chess, face painting, yoga and a silent disco.
On the racecourse itself, Ebro River galloped to victory in the feature race of the day, the 2.55pm Freddie Wilson Queensferry Stakes, ridden by Ben Curtis.
