A 26-YEAR-OLD has been hit with a court bill of almost £800 after being found guilty of drink driving.

Razvan Istudor, of Flower Street, Northwich, previously denied drink driving along Chester Way in the town on March 14.

Chester Magistrates' Court heard he provided a sample of 53 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath – the legal alcohol limit is 35 microgrammes.

A trial on July 28 found Istudor guilty of driving while above the alcohol limit and he was fined £450.

He must also pay £300 in court costs and a £45 surcharge.

Istudor was also banned from the roads for 15 months, but he will get a 15-week reduction in his ban if he completes a driving course.
