A MOTORIST has been arrested after a machete was found in their car on the M56 motorway on the outskirts of Chester.
North west Motorway Police said the vehicle was stopped on the M56 motorway by junction 14 (Hapsford Services) earlier on Thursday, July 28 by the Cheshire Police Roads and Crime Unit.
Officers then located the machete in the vehicle.
The driver was arrested for possession of an offensive weapon.
