A SCHOOLBOY has become a well-known local car washer after cleaning cars all around the community.

Adam Lee, 12, wanted to find something to do over the summer holidays while staying with his nan in Neston, as he was becoming very bored and wanted to earn some money.

Dale Evans, Adam’s nan, suggested to him to try some car washing.

After knocking on residents’ doors in the neighbourhood and cleaning their cars for £5, Adam began receiving messages on Facebook from others wanting their cars washed too.

The retired 62-year-old, said: “He has been absolutely inundated with messages. He’s already done around nine cars this week.”

Adam said: “It’s an easy money maker. I’ve started gardening now as well.”

A resident who had their car cleaned by Adam, posted on a local Facebook community group giving praise to his polite manners and hard work.

Since then, the post has received lots of attention, with many asking for Adam to come and clean their vehicles too.

Jess Mosedale wrote: “He’s washed our car today and done a fantastic job! He’s such a lovely, polite, young lad who is eager to earn some money during the school holidays!”

Laura Keal added: “Please can you send him our way. Got a van and car that needs doing inside and out!”

Ross Sinnott said: “Absolutely love seeing stuff like this, keep up the good work.”

Adam has now enlisted the help of his brother, Thomas Lee, 15, as the demand for his services grow.

Dale added: “We’re super proud of him. Everybody knows him now.”

Adam has set up his own Facebook page to showcase his work and for people to book in with him.
