Manchester Airport’s Runway Visitor Park (RVP) is getting ready for a fun packed summer just in time for the school holidays.
The attraction, located opposite Runway One, has revealed a programme of events and activities that’ll keep the kids entertained this summer.
The popular Flight Academy experience for 4 to 12-year-olds will return and there’s lots more fun to be had.
Visitors can book a virtual flight on the recently-launched Fly360 Flight Simulator, the only one of its kind in the north west.

They’ll also be able to enjoy a new play area complete with airplane climbers, swings, a trim trail of balance logs and climbing panels.
If you have a child aged 4 to 12 years, they can have a go at different airport roles in the Flight Academy experience including ground handlers and cabin crew.
They’ll also get the chance to sit in the cockpit of a real aircraft and ‘take control’ of the flight deck followed by a visit to the viewing deck where they’ll overlook the runway and airfield to see all of this in action.

If you’re looking to visit the RVP, you can book your place now with availability in late July and throughout August.
Adult and child tickets cost £12 and those who take part can receive discounted parking at £5 for the full day.
The viewing deck offers the chance to watch aircraft such as the giant A380 coming and going at close quarters, and the RVP’s retired airliners including the iconic Concorde are open for tours.
Everyone is welcome to visit the attractions whether you’re an aviation enthusiast or a casual visitor.
The on-site café offers a Click-and-Collect service so you can grab refreshments.
If you choose to visit during the August Bank Holiday weekend (Sunday 28th August and Monday 29th August), you’ll be in for a family fun weekend with plenty of activities for all ages.

The RVP recently launched a new attraction, the Fly360 Flight Simulator, giving budding pilots the chance to take control of a WW2-era aircraft and it provides a full range of motion allowing users to fly upside down.
Prices for the simulator start at £12 per session in a two-person simulator with dual controls so it works out at £6 each and it’ll be running on various days during the summer holidays.
