FIREFIGHTERS were called out to an incident in the early hours of the morning in Ellesmere Port.
One fire crew attended the scene in Stanney Lane at about 4.20am yesterday (Saturday, July 16).
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Firefighters used one hose reel and one breathing apparatus to put out a fire at the base of a telephone mast.
"Cheshire Police were requested to attend as it is thought the fire had been started deliberately."
