A DRINK-DRIVER has been banned from the roads and must abstain from alcohol after threatening two men in the street.
Brent Dronfield, of Cotswold Way, Winsford, was caught more than twice the legal limit while driving along St Georges Road on May 21 earlier this year.
A breath test revealed he had 75 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of his breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
And on the same day, the 52-year-old used threatening, abusive or insulting words against two men, with intent to cause them to believe that immediate unlawful violence would be used.
Dronfield pleaded guilty to both charges on June 14 and appeared at Chester Magistrates' Court on July 12 for sentencing.
Taking his pleas into account, magistrates disqualified him from driving for 30 months and imposed a 120-day alcohol abstinence order.
The bench also ordered Dronfield to complete 200 hours of unpaid work and pay £100 in compensation.
