POLICE have charged a 34-year-old man in connection with a serious assault in Chester city centre.
Kane Oxford, of Brook Street in Chester, has been charged with section 18 wounding with intent.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Chester Magistrates Court on Friday, July 8.
It follows an incident in which police were called to Foregate Street in the early hours of Thursday, July 7.
The road between the Love Street junction and The Bars Roundabout was cordoned off while crime scene investigators examined the area.
The road was reopened shortly before 2pm.
