A CHESTER school's choir has been in action letting their lights shine in the local community.

Pupils of The Hoole Church of England Primary School paid a visit to All Saints’ Church to entertain visitors to the church café. Children sang a selection of songs, performing to the enthusiastic audience.

Later in the afternoon, the choir headed off to Rose Villas.

During the visit to the senior citizens, children interacted with the residents in between songs. The visitors were delighted to welcome the pupils, who performed with real dedication.

Rachel Inns, Key Stage two choir leader, said: “We are so proud of the children and how they entertained their audiences with an array of songs that they have worked hard to learn in preparation for the visits. It is wonderful to see pupils engaging with local community to brighten the day for people around us.”

Ros Flanders, headteacher, added: “It was a delight to see children so enthusiastic about performing for others. I am so proud that our pupils were once again commended on their excellent behaviour, superb manners and positive attitude to supporting our local community.”

The choir is now preparing for its next performance at the school’s forthcoming Summer Fair.
