TWO fire crews were called out to a fire at a mid terraced house in a village near Chester.

Firefighters attended the scene in Market Court, Tarporley, at about 8.40pm yesterday (Wednesday, July 6).

A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue service said: "A fire in the kitchen of a mid terraced property in Tarporley was extinguished with a hose reel.

"Everyone was accounted for and the crew used a thermal imaging camera to check the property before leaving."

A large fan was also used to check wooden joists along with the rest of the property before firefighters left.

The fire crews were in attendance for about an hour and fifty minutes.
