A SEX offender is set to be sentenced after he used software to conceal his internet search history.

David Wade had been made subject of a sexual harm prevention order by Chester Crown Court on August 20, 2018.

However, the 35-year-old, of Riverside Park, Northwich, was downloading indecent images of children between December 19 last year and February 1, 2022.

Wade was appearing at Chester Magistrates Court on Thursday, June 30, where he admitted a string of offences.

Among the charges was one of allowing a child to stay at his address between November 16 and December 16, 2021, without notifying the police.

Wade was also found to be in possession of three category C images of children on March 29.

The convicted sex offender also used another device that did not have the internet search history capability enabled between June 9 and September 18, 2021.

Wade has been remanded in custody and will be sentenced at Chester Crown Court on July 29.
