FIREFIGHTERS were called to a late night incident by the canal in Ellesmere Port.
One fire crew from the town attended the scene shortly before 9.15pm yesterday (Monday, July 4) in Jenkinson Lane.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "A small fire was reported on the bank of the canal.
"Firefighters used a water backpack to put it out."
