POLICE have pulled over a driver after clocking a car tailgating an ambulance on blue lights at 90mph on the M56.
Officers with the Cheshire Police Roads and Crime Unit spotted the car on the westbound carriageaway heading towards Chester.
The vehicle was seen driving close behind an ambulance, which was responding to an emergency, in lane three of the motorway for about four miles.
The driver has now been reported for the offence.
A Cheshire Police Roads and Crime Unit spokesman tweeted: "Driver stopped after tailgating an ambulance on an emergency response on the M56 westbound near Hapsford for four miles in lane three at no less than 90mph.
"Driver reported."
