A MAJOR new housing development being created in Cheshire has partnered with a well known store.

David Wilson Homes has partnered with renowned Macclesfield furniture store Arighi Bianchi to create an exclusive sales and marketing suite for its new Kings Park development in the town.

Kings Park, located on the former grounds of the distinguished King’s School, on Fence Avenue, Macclesfield, is set to become one of David Wilson Homes’ most exclusive developments and will bring 300 high quality new homes to the area.

The housebuilder has opened a sales suite within the five storey Arighi Bianchi showroom, located on the Silk Road, and will be kitting out the development’s future  show homes with a range of furniture and accessories hand-selected by the retailer.

This partnership between David Wilson Homes and Arighi Bianchi is a key part of the rejuvenation of the Macclesfield area.

Having been built on the grounds of the previous King’s School, the area is steeped in history and prestige.

The brand new housing development aims to honour the history of the site.

The roads at Kings Park are to be named after the former headteachers of Kings School, while the main road is named after Kelly Smith, a Maxonian who raised awareness for bowel cancer at a national level.

After acquiring the land, the developer leased the site back to Kings School so that they could continue their studies uninterrupted while the new school campus was finished.

The 80 acre, £60m state-of-the-art premises was finished in July, 2020, and the deal won the Insider North West Residential Property Awards in January 2019.

Philippa Stewart, sales director at David Wilson Homes North West, said: “We are extremely excited to be entering into a partnership with such an outstanding business in Arighi Bianchi.

"Their principals perfectly align with our ethos of community outreach and familial values and we could not envision a more ideal union.

“As market leaders, this partnership symbolises the beginning of what will not only be incredibly important to the area, but our customers will be able to indulge in the highest quality in all aspects of their homebuying experience."

Sarah Bianchi, managing director of Arighi Bianchi, said: “We’re well known for having the best concessions for furnishing a home in the region – from our Kitchenality brand to our flooring, carpet and window dressing concessions – and now people can come and buy a brand new house from our store as well!"
