TWO fire crews and an air ambulance have been called out to a multi-vehicle crash in a village on the outskirts of Chester.

Firefighters are still at the scene of the collision in Stoney Lane, Kelsall, and arrived at about 5.30pm today (Tuesday, June 28).

A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Emergency services are currently at the scene of a road traffic collision involving two cars and a van.

"Three people have reportedly been injured in the collision.

"One person, who was physically trapped in her vehicle, has been extricated and is currently being treated by an air ambulance crew.

At just before 7pm the force spokesman added: "The casualty has now been taken to hospital via air ambulance and the incident has been handed over to Cheshire Police."
