Man taken to hospital after falling from bridge
A MAN has been taken to hospital after falling from a bridge in Cheshire.
Police were called to Watkinson Way in Widnes at about 3pm yesterday (Wednesday, June 22) to reports of concerns for the welfare of a man.
When officers attended they found that a man had a fallen off the Halton View Road bridge near to Page Lane.
Paramedics from North West Ambulance were called and the man was taken to hospital via air ambulance.
Watkinson Way was closed while officers dealt with the incident and it reopened at 4pm.
