A CHESTER church is celebrating its 60th anniversary with three days of events, beginning this Friday (June 24).
Saltney Methodist Church on Saltney High Street will kick off the festivities with a Celebration in Song at 7.30pm on Friday. Featuring the Hawarden Singers, entry will be £5 and includes refreshments.
Saturday will see the history of the church presented in a photographic exhibition: Saltney Methodist Church in the Last 60 Years. Anyone with relevant photos is encouraged to bring them along. Tea and cakes will also be served in the church hall.
Celebrations will conclude on Sunday with a Service of Thanksgiving taking place from 10.45am with Reverend Gwyneth Owen, who was a minister at the church around 20 years ago. Refreshments will be available after this service.
All are welcome to attend and parking is available to the rear of the church.
