SCARECROW fest has returned to Little Sutton for its fourth year.
The community in Little Sutton have once again come together to show off their best scarecrows with residents’ creativity on show for all to see.
Founder of scarecrow fest, Stephen Hewitt said: “I’ve always been involved in promoting community spirit and this is the fourth year of scarecrow fest.”
When asked what the inspiration was behind bringing scarecrow fest to Little Sutton, Mr Hewitt said: “I saw them (the scarecrows) whilst I was on holiday and thought that could be something fun to do in Little Sutton.
At first, I was hoping to get about 100 people involved, but with over 300, it has taken me by surprise. Everyone’s efforts are much appreciated.”
Scarecrow fest even features an interactive Google map for people to engage with in a scavenger hunt like way.
The local Methodist church are also putting on a free coffee morning this coming Saturday to view a slideshow of all the different scarecrows that have been erected.
