TWO boys from Cheshire who had been arrested as part of an enquiry into the spray-painting of vehicles in Ellesmere Port have now been released on conditional bail.

A 14-year-old boy from Ellesmere Port and a 15-year-old boy from Northwich were arrested after a number of vehicles in the town were graffitied between 11.30pm on June 8 and 1am on June 9.

Cars in Kendal Drive, Shepton Road, Baker Drive and Sutton Way were targeted, with the suspects, believed to be teenagers, described as male and wearing black clothing and face coverings.

PC Jake Marsh said that Cheshire Police were keen to hear from anyone who saw suspects or knows who they may be. Dashcam or CCTV footage may also help with the investigation.

"The damage caused has cost a number of people a lot of money to repair their vehicles, causing even more expense when times are challenging enough for everyone.

"That’s why I’d also urge anyone who may know who did this to think hard about the impact this has had on these residents and do the right thing by coming forward with information."
