Love Island viewers are all saying the same thing as Gemma Owen recouples on the ITV dating show.

The Chester contestant, who is also the 19-year-old daughter of footballer Michael Owen, has been central to the show's storyline over its first week.

Within the short period, Gemma has been coupled up with Newport student Liam, Italian stallion Davide and now 23-year-old Brighton fishmonger Luca.

The dramatic recoupling actually led to the online gambling company Betfair to name Luca and Gemma as their favourite to win the 2022 series.

Betfair spokesperson Sam Rosbottom said: “After Friday night’s dramatic recoupling, Luca Bish and Gemma Owen are now the 9/2 favourites to be Love Island’s winning couple, while Andrew Le Page & Tasha Ghouri are 11/2.

Gemma's complicated storyline is set to continue as ex Jacques O’Neill enters the villa on Sunday as he dates single girls Paige and Afia.

The amount of screen time Gemma has received, compared to other islanders in the villa, has not gone unnoticed by viewers.

In fact, some have even accused the producers of rigging the programme and trying to make Gemma this year's winner.

One fan complained: "Why is the show all about Gemma? Could you make the nepotism any less obvious?"

Another person said: "How long has that Owen guy been keeping the editors hostage and how much is he paying the producers to make this Gemma Island?"

A third added: "Is the show being renamed Gemma Island?"

Meanwhile, a fourth person wrote:" When will we be able to watch anything other than Gemma????????????"
