Chester Love Island star Gemma Owen goes on her first date with Davide on Wednesday's Love Island.
The Italian stallion had to pick one of the girls to couple up with within 24 hours after his bombshell entrance on the opening show.
While Davide Sanclimenti, 27, spoke to Welsh paramedic Paige and dancer Tasha during his grafting, he ended up choosing Michael Owen's 19-year-old daughter.
A decision which left Newport contestant Liam single and vulnerable for elimination.
Love Island stars Gemma and Davide go on first date
While the Islanders are relaxing in the garden, the Love Islander producers shake things up with a text to Gemma.
The text reads: “Gemma and Davide, it’s time for your first date. Please get ready to leave the Villa. #SimplyTheZest #FirstDateVibes”
Speaking in the Beach Hut before the date, Gemma says: “Hopefully we can have another good chat and I can find out a bit more about him and have that good energy.”
The couple then head to a tranquil location to drink some lemonade and have a chat.
Despite it being a first date, things turn serious rather quickly when the pair start discussing marriage and kids.
Turning to Gemma, Davide asks: “Do you want to get married? Have you ever thought about it?”
Gemma replies: “Yeah definitely. I’d like to get married and I want to have kids.”
Davide asks: “How many?”
Gemma says: “Like four!”
The conversation then turns to the dramatic decision from the night before.
Davide admits: “I was sure about my decision. What about you?”
Gemma says: “With Liam I’ve told him that I’ll still have chats with him and get to know him a bit more. I also told him I have more of an initial attraction to you than I do for him. I do think you’re a nice genuine guy.”
What will happen with Gemma and Liam on Love Island?
The love triangle between the three islanders is set to continue into episode three.
Despite recoupling with Davide, Gemma pulls Liam for a chat to speak about the shock decision.
Speaking at the fire pit with Gemma, Liam says: “Tomorrow is a new day - I’ve got work to do!”
Gemma replies: “Me being in a couple with him hasn’t changed how I feel about you. I still want to chat to you. It’s still early days. But I can imagine it’s not a nice situation to be in.”
Liam admits: “You’re still at the top of my tree! I’ve got a good feeling about you. You are girlfriend material, the way you are and the way you carry yourself.”
With the arrival of two new girls - Afia and Ekin-Su - everything could still change.
