POLICE are appealing for information following a burglary in Ellesmere Port.

At around 5am on Wednesday, June 1, an unknown offender is believed to have gained entry to a property in the Raby Court area.

He was confronted by the residents and left the address.

It is believed that the man had an injury to his hand and that this incident may be linked to several attempted burglaries around the Rochester Drive area overnight.

Officers are now appealing to anyone with information to come forward.

Sergeant Mark Bryce said: “I know that there has been a lot of talk in the community regarding this incident and I would like to reassure residents that we are doing all we can to find the person responsible.

“A number of enquiries are currently under way and people will see a visible presence in the area.

“As part of our enquiries we are appealing to anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage from the Raby Court area in the early hours of the morning to contact us.

“The same goes to anyone who may have witnessed anything or may have information that they believe could assist in our investigation.”
