Laura Baldwin started My Wobble Box in her living room a little over two years ago, but the business now has its own physical shop in Ellesmere Port.

Founded back in February 2020, and now based on Raddle Wharf, My Wobble Box offers customers a collection of caravan-based products - a theme which takes inspiration from Laura’s grandparents. The brand's hope is to "make your caravan, camper van or tent as personal to you as the memories you make in them".

Laura said: "I initially sold my products through Etsy and craft fairs, finding success with a range of bespoke mugs, small gifts and trinkets. But over the past year, it’s suddenly grown to much more than that.

"We’ve been approached by influencers, become official VW partners, had a pop-up store in John Lewis, worked closely on a campaign with Sainsbury’s, and our rainbow blanket was even featured on This Morning - an absolutely surreal moment for me!

"Taking the step into running my own store was incredibly scary, but I can’t wait to see where we go next."

During the pandemic, the numbers of people choosing to use caravans or motorhomes rather than journey abroad increased significantly, as did the sales of vehicles. The UK's National Caravan Council (NCC) say that a record 16,608 new motorhomes were registered with the DVLA between 1 July 2020 and the end of June 2021.

My Wobble Box's founder says its transition from humble beginnings to a physical shop front has been "a whirlwind of a journey".

"When I first began, I didn’t think my humble little business would grow as quickly as it has done - especially during the pandemic. But here I am now, running a business out of my very own store in a lovely little area of my own."

Located on the banks of the iconic River Mersey, the My Wobble Box shop stands where the Northern end of the Shropshire Union Canal meets up with the Manchester Union Canal. The unique setting is not lost on its new owner.

"Scenes for Peaky Blinders were shot just around the corner at the National Waterways Museum. It’s incredibly beautiful and even home to a host of stunning swans."

Reflecting on the last two years, Laura said: "What started as a hobby has quickly grown into a full-time business. So, if you’re in the area, why not pop in and say hello? We have so much to offer that we know you’ll absolutely adore."
