The library on Chester Road will host the event towards the end of next month which will feature a talk from author Caroline Corcoran.

Little Sutton Library is set to welcome Caroline Corcoran, author of new psychological thriller 'Five Days Missing' and titles 'The Baby Group' and 'Through the Wall' on Thursday 23 June at 7pm.

Caroline lives in the area, less than ten miles from Ellesemere Port. Her first novel 'Through the Wall' was released across the world in 2019 and was a Sunday Times Bestseller and was followed by 'The Baby Group' in September 2020.

She has also worked for many successful magazines including Stylist, Grazia and Marie Claire.

Caroline said: "I love being alone with my laptop writing but even for someone used to a very solo profession, the last couple of years in the pandemic have been extreme!

"So, it’s an absolute joy to be out and about doing author events like this one again and meeting and chatting to readers. Libraries have a special place in my heart too - as for many people, they are where the world of fiction really opened up to me as a teenager."

Council Leader and Cabinet Member for Wellbeing, Councillor Louise Gittins said: "This is an event not to be missed, we’re thrilled that Caroline is able to join us in Little Sutton next month."

The talk will include finding out about Caroline's background, how she got into writing and the inspiration behind her novels. Caroline will read an excerpt from her latest novel ‘Five Days Missing’. The talk will be followed by a Q&A session.

Tickets are £3 and available from the library or online via www.ticketsource.co.uk/cwaclibraries.

Little Sutton Library is free to join and is open on Mondays and Thursdays 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm; Tuesdays and Fridays from 1pm to 7pm and Saturdays from 9.30am to 1pm. As well as a wide range of books, there are public access computers to use, Wi-Fi, printing facilities and activities.
