FIREFIGHTERS were called out to an incident on the ring road in Chester city centre.
One crew attended the scene shortly before 6.50pm yesterday (Wednesday, May 18).
On arrival firefighters discovered there have been a road traffic collision and used a hose reel jet to cool down the engine of a car.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "The road was closed while the incident was dealt with."
