FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a popular visitor attraction early this morning.
One fire crew attended the scene at Station Road, Delamere at about 8.30am on Saturday (May 14).
Firefighters were called to a small fire in Delamere Forest that had been left unattended.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "The fire was out on arrival but firefighters used a thermal imaging camera to check there was no danger of fire spread. "They also dug down approximately one foot of surrounding area and used water to damp down."
The fire comes only a few days after firefighters battled a deep seated fire in the forest which had spread over a large area.
