POLICE are continuing to appeal for information following a fatal collision on the outskirts of Chester.

Just after 12.15pm on Wednesday, May 11, officers were called to the B5130 between Huntington and Aldford following reports of a collision involving a yellow Citroen DS3 DSport and a grey Citroen Berlingo van.

Sadly, the passenger of the car, a 37-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her next of kin have been informed.

The driver of the car, a 41-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A 45-year-old man, the driver of the Berlingo, sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. He was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police are continuing to appeal to trace anyone who may have dashcam footage of the vehicle before the incident to come forward.

Inspector Steve Griffiths said: “This road is a busy route and is used a lot by motorists every day.

“Although we have several enquiries ongoing, we are continuing to appeal to anyone who may have dashcam footage from the area throughout that morning leading up to the time of the collision.

“I would also ask anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has any information that they think could assist us in our investigation to please get in touch.”
